Louise Meuwissen's Silk Purse features shocking pink raw shot silk, floating black bemsilk lining, and peach drawstring tassel handles. This piece is made by hand, entirely from reclaimed materials.

The silk once comprised a c. 1960’s embellished jet-setter tunic gown, which was lovingly and carefully deconstructed, and re-worked.

Light weight raw shot silk, with bemsilk lining, in shocking pink and black.

Measures approximately 28cm in diameter, 20cm in width, with 15cm opening - (slight variation occurs from piece to piece)
Straps approx 27cm long when drawn.

Each piece is unique and handmade with love by Louise Meuwissen in her studio in Narrm Melbourne.

Fabric and Care
Salvaged hot pink shot silk from vintage 1960s evening gown, salvaged vintage rayon tassel, salvaged bemsilk lining

Care Instructions:
Spot clean.
Gentle cold hand wash with mild soap.
Do not soak.
Dry flat.
Do not tumble dry.
Steam, or cool iron, after removing tassel.
Do not dry clean.
Handle with care.
