Louise Meuwissen's Silk Purse features lilac raw shot silk, floating lilac silk lining, and peach drawstring tassel handles. This piece is made by hand, entirely from reclaimed materials.

The silk once comprised a c. 1980’s mother-of-the-bride suit, with matching knee length pencil skirt and power-jacket, which was lovingly and carefully deconstructed, and re-worked.

Light weight raw shot silk, with silk lining, in lilac and peach.

Measures approximately 28cm in diameter, 20cm in width, with 15cm opening - (slight variation occurs from piece to piece)
Straps approx 27cm long when drawn.

Each piece is unique and handmade with love by Louise Meuwissen in her studio in Narrm Melbourne.

Fabric and Care

Care Instructions:
Spot clean.
Gentle cold hand wash with mild soap.
Do not soak.
Dry flat.
Do not tumble dry.
Steam, or cool iron, after removing tassel.
Do not dry clean.
Handle with care.
